My name is Megan. This blog was created as an assignment for
my Fundamentals of Information Technology and Literacy class. If you have
somehow stumbled onto this blog I want to wish you a huge welcome!
Here is a little information for you to get to know me. As previously
stated, my name is Megan. I was born and raised in a small mountain town in the
northeast corner of Pennsylvania. I spent time overseas teaching English in
Israel. I love to travel and have been blessed to have been able to travel to 46
different countries. I’m hoping to increase that number next year! Last December,
I decided to make a huge change and moved to Indianapolis, Indiana. So far, I
am loving it. My only complaint is there aren’t enough Steelers fans here in
Indy!
Currently, I am in my second year at Ashford University. I
recently changed my major to Computer Software Technology from Business Information
Systems. Originally, my current major wasn’t offered. With the addition of this
new program to Ashford, I have taken the plunge into what I originally wanted as
a major. When I was younger I wanted to be a game programmer. I also thought
about wanting to just create mobile applications or becoming a data scientist.
The one consistent thing is that I have always wanted a degree in technology. I’m
not sure where this degree will take me, but I can’t wait to see what my future
holds.
The current goal for this blog is to achieve the requirements
needed for my INT 100 class. This will be a technology related blog that will
delve through predetermined prompts and topics. However, I am contemplating continuing
this blog to document the rest of my journey of technology related classes as I
work towards completing my degree.
We shall see what the future holds in store. I hope you
continue reading.
-Megan
